Let’s cut the flowery language (pun intended) and get straight to it: If you’re a reliable worker who knows their way around a garden, we’d love to talk to you about joining our team.

We’re a small (but growing!) business who need more people like you to meet the demands for gardening services across Brisbane.

We offer a premium service, and we’re so much more than a quick mow-and-blow operation. That means you’ll be getting some variety in your work, and servicing properties across greater Brisbane. We’ll provide the tools, the vehicles and the perks; you bring the energy, enthusiasm and expertise to put a smile on the customers faces.

We offer generous wages above the award rates. If you come to us with significant experience or relevant qualifications, we’ll make sure those are recognised in your weekly pay packet. We also ensure that you receive all your entitlements in the event that you work overtime.

The part that explains our minimum experience requirements

Unfortunately, we have to put this bit up front: we’re not currently hiring trainees, so if you haven’t worked in the gardening industry before and you’re just expecting to “give it a go”, then this isn’t the job ad for you. (But do be sure to check in with us again in the future as we’re sure to be looking for trainees again in the future!)

What we need is someone who can confidently operate a variety of tools with enough competence to produce an excellent end result. If you know your way around a hedger, a polesaw, a ladder and a trailer, and you’re also handy with secateurs and fine detail hand, we can fill in the gaps to guide you in the use of our more specialised equipment.

If you’ve operated a professional pressure-washing system, stump-grinder, or other specialised equipment in the past, please highlight this in your application!

 

Things you’re likely to be doing:

• Hedging at ground level, and on ladders up to 2m
• Weeding (both hand-weeding and poison spraying)
• Low-level tree trimming
• High-pressure washing
• Managing and maintaining tools and equipment
• Laying turf
• Planting flowers, shrubs and trees
• Mowing, whipper-snipping, edging and blowing
• Applying mulch
• Physical tasks such as digging, lifting, shovelling, carrying and packing/unpacking
• Driving vehicles with a trailer attached
• Other tasks involved in whole garden clean-ups and makeovers.

 

The things you need:

• Clean driving record
• Two (2) years of professional gardening experience
• Relevant study/qualifications will be highly regarded
